lyrics

Why're we all in a rush?
Eyes closed, counting down to lift off
It's the final frontier
You see a pitfall; I see a pit stop
Even though my stomach is in big knots
It's better to be guiding this ship across the known universe
Where nothing is impossible

Please, pardon my apologies
We've crash landed on a planet
Numbers on the screens, when we try to scan it
Not matching the scenes
Nothing's what it seems
Chances of other beings living out their dreams
We are the intruders
Y'all better all remember that
Looking like the engine is totalled
And so to get it back running
That requires new wisdom kernels and better facts
So therefore what we gotta do is interact
Step out the craft; try to fulfill a mission
That's centring around how we're giving back
Speaking real shit; booting up the system app
Avoid the kill switch
That isn't a solution for what we're trying to deal with
We ain't superhuman; repeating life is a real myth
So many real risks pretending
like we know what we are doing

This planet is fully unlike our own
Deja vu I'm feeling is chilling me to the bone
And now possibly everything that I know is up in the air
Despair swirling up in the dome
But I'm taking a comfort in being battle-tested
No longer sitting and wondering
It's time that we invest in it
This atmosphere, crumbling; pressure all-encompassing
Wealth of an opportunity, people, and not a deficit
And that's that; hitting you with the facts
Ready to power through this wilderness without a map
Surrounded by hostility feeling we can't relax
And, yeah, we're moving forward regardless of who detracts
So keep an eye out
It's all about the progress, do it before the sun sets
Heaven turning the lights out on my doubts
Fully convinced that we ain't done yet
All we have is the one test:
Needing fuel for the fly-out
